With just a little care — like keeping your skin hydrated and avoiding anything too harsh or stripping — your glow can linger longer and look fresh right to the final day. Prep:
To ensure a smooth, flawless tan, we recommend exfoliating 24 hours before your appointment using a gentle, oil-free scrub. This removes dead skin and creates the perfect canvas. Shave or wax at least a day prior to avoid irritation. On the day of your tan, skip lotions, deodorants, perfumes, or makeup — clean, bare skin helps our organic solution absorb evenly and beautifully.

Aftercare:
Once your tan is applied, wear loose, dark clothing and avoid water, sweating, or touching your skin for the recommended development time (we’ll guide you based on the formula used). After your first rinse — no soap, just a quick rinse — pat your skin dry and begin daily moisturizing with a lightweight, oil-free lotion to lock in hydration. Avoid long hot showers, exfoliating, and chlorine, which can cause premature fading.

To get the most flawless results, we recommend booking your spray tan 1 to 2 days before your event or desired peak day. This gives your tan time to fully develop and settle into that perfect, golden glow SBK Beauty is known for.

Planning ahead is especially important during busy seasons or before weekends, when appointments fill up fast. If you’re tanning for a wedding, vacation, or special occasion, securing your spot a week in advance is ideal to ensure the perfect timing and availability.

Your peak tan day will be the second day after your appointment — that’s when the color is fully developed, even, and at its most radiant. So plan accordingly, and we’ll make sure you glow exactly when it matters most!

A fresh spray tan can transfer slightly onto clothing, especially during the development phase—but don’t worry, it’s usually minimal and washes out of most fabrics easily.

To protect your clothes (and feel comfy!), we recommend wearing loose, dark clothing to your appointment and for several hours after. Avoid tight waistbands, straps, or anything that could rub against your skin while the tan is setting.
